The Thrive is a versatile fuzz pedal that combines raw, organic distortion with a clear foundation. Its parallel clean path maintains pressure and definition even with extreme fuzz sounds—perfect for bass and guitar alike. The sound palette ranges from warm, slightly crunchy overdrives to crumbly, gated fuzz sounds with distinctive character. The Bloom and Starve controls work interactively: Starve lowers the operating voltage and provides unstable, dynamically responsive behavior. Bloom controls the gain and operating point of the second stage together, shaping the character of the saturation. The Drown switch raises the entire operating point, resulting in even more unpredictable, crumbly textures and more aggressive fuzz behavior. The Blend control mixes the clean signal back into the distorted signal, preserving attack and foundation. Gain determines the basic character of the distortion, while Tone tames the highs and rounds out the sound. The Thrive is not a classic fuzz—it is a lively, responsive tool that balances between controlled saturation and chaotic destruction.
